Automotive radar systems have emerged as crucial components in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles (AVs) due to their ability to provide accurate range, velocity, and angle information in all weather conditions. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar technology offers several advantages over traditional single-antenna radars, including improved angular resolution, range resolution, and clutter suppression. Thesis will focus on the fundamental principles and techniques involved in processing and interpreting MIMO radar data for automotive applications.
The processing of MIMO radar data generates a wealth of information about the surrounding environment, including target positions, velocities, and identities. The thesis will include techniques for processing and extracting this data.
The understanding of these principles is essential for developing robust and reliable radar systems for advanced driver assistance and autonomous vehicles.
